FAQ - Network

What is the bandwidth of your network connections?

Kanataweb.com has over 700MB of network connections available at any time and this is constantly growing. Our connections range from T1 lines to OC3 cables that are used for backbone connectivity.

What is your network utilization?

We are always adding more bandwidth to our network and never average more than 35% utilization during peak hours. With connections to the largest Internet backbones, our customers are always guaranteed adequate bandwidth.

Do you use CISCO equipment?

Kanataweb.com uses CISCO routers throughout its network, ranging from 2500 series routers to meet individual customer needs, scaling up to 12000 series routers at our network core.

What is my connection to the network?

All servers are connected to the network via 100mb ethernet connections. All servers will also have 100mb ethernet NICs unless it is a colocated server in which case it is up to the customer to choose the type of NIC (either 10mb or 100mb).
